Welcome to College in the Clouds!

We offer 12 college level courses on computer and website Technology and Security skills using free open source Information Sharing tools. Our goal is to provide you with a better, more secure way to create and share knowledge. It is a sad fact that we are currently living in a Hacker Heaven – where hackers have many ways to remotely take over and steal or brick your computer, your documents, your images, your websites and your data.

We show you how to replace your insecure Windows computer with a secure Linux computer and how to replace insecure MS Office files with secure Libre Office documents. We then explain how to set up a secure Virtual Private Server (VPS) and manage it with the free and secure Hestia Control Panel. Later courses explain how to set up a free and secure Joomla website and how to use it to create a secure online store. Below is a graphic of all 12 of our courses:

Our goal is to revolutionize the way books are written, websites are built, online businesses are run and online courses are taught by introducing you to a new generation of free open source web building tools. The Reading content for each of our courses can be reached from our Joomla website which is College in the Clouds dot org. This website you are now reading – College in the Clouds dot com – is where we offer the actual courses – which include video conferences and a series of other learning activities. In addition, each course has its own website. Our courses are offered periodically throughout the year.
